Board of Directors
Foundation Nepal is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors who bring a broad range of skills and experience to the organisation.
The Board is primarily responsible for strategic planning, major financial decisions and acting as fundraising ambassadors.

Frank Cronin is Chief Executive of independent broadcaster NewsTalk 106-108 FM. Originally from Cork, he is a Chartered Accountant and formerly worked in senior management with the Goodman Group, the Sunday Tribune and Setanta Sport. Frank brings strong financial acumen and excellent PR and media skills to Foundation Nepal, which are vital for our work and raising our profile.

Bríd Whelan is a registered tax consultant and chartered accountant who runs her own tax advisory consultancy practice, Whelan Tax Solutions. She formerly worked as a Senior Tax Manager with Ernst & Young and subsequently as Tax Director with BDO Simpson Xavier. A native of Galway, Bríd’s strong financial background, business acumen and experience in strategy development are major assets to the work of Foundation Nepal.
Ciaran Casey
Ciaran works as Development Specialist with Camara Education, focusing on monitoring and evaluation, and institutional fundraising. His background is in International Development.
Dr Mary Manandhar
Dr. Mary Manandhar is a graduate of Oxford University and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Working as an anthropologist in public health, she has extensive developing country experience for international NGOs, bilateral aid programmes, UNICEF and university research partnerships. She has lived in Nepal for 12 years, and is familiar with the far west region. After the last ten years working for the HSE in Ireland, she is now a freelance consultant based in Sligo.
